Cup a load of bra challenge
BRAS are needed to create a display aimed at raising money for charity.
Members of Stoke-on-Trent Lions Club are trying to collect more than 1,500 bras to create a mile-long chain along Piccadilly, Hanley, in May.
People who donate the new or used bras will be asked to give £1 with each one and all the money raised will be split between Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign.
Lions club member David Barwick , aged 51, from Newcastle, said: "The mile of bras has been done by Lions elsewhere and is quite noticeable when it runs.
"We hope it will raise awareness of breast cancer and support charities at the same time."
Bras for the display are now being collected. People can send them to Ann Merry, 61 Allerton Road, Trentham ST4 8PQ or Maureen Wood, 103 Crewe Road, Alsager ST7 2JE.
