CUB Scouts have been delving into North Staffordshire's mining past.
St Giles and St George Cubs visited Apedale Heritage Centre in Chesterton in order to gain their Local Knowledge badges.

The Cubs also took the opportunity to invest four new members into their 28-strong pack.
Group leader Sharon Whittlestone, said: "The Cubs were taken on a visit to the underground mine, and they also had a look around the museum so they could learn more about the history of mining in North Staffordshire."
The group have now broken up for the summer holidays, but will be recruiting new members, aged eight to 10 and a half when they next meet on Tuesday, September 8, from 6.15pm to 7.45pm.
Meetings will be held at St George church hall, in Cherry Orchard, Newcastle, every Tuesday.
