Sentinel Talbot Shield

HOLDERS Stafford will host the Sentinel Talbot Shield final next Sunday after beating Norton in a nail-biting semi-final.

Chasing the home side's 226-7, Norton ended the day on 223-8 with Alex Graham hitting 57.

For the winners, Ashley Lunn had figures of 3-30 with Mark Smallman cracking 88, including eight boundaries and two sixes, and Guy Seaton contributing 56.

Audley will be Stafford's opponents after beating neighbouring Wood Lane by 30 runs.

Audley reached 174-8 assisted by 37 from Phil Hemmings. Steve Norcup had the best bowling figures with 3-45.

Despite 39 from Gareth Coates, Wood Lane were bowled out for 144 with two wickets each coming from Gary Latham, Daniel Lyth and Alan Hammersley.
