Cricket: England call for Kelsall
SAM Kelsall, the 16-year-old former Moddershall player who is now with the Nottinghamshire Academy, has been named in the England under-17s team to play Sri Lanka at Sleaford.
The former Trentham High School pupil, pictured right, has already represented England at age group level, but his call-up for Thursday's one-day clash is another step towards his ambition of being in England's under-19 squad for the 2012 World Cup.
TWO Norton fielders were in outstanding form during North Staffs and South Cheshire League games against Betley last Saturday.
Phil Dutton took five outfield catches to help inspire a Norton first-team victory, while Danny Roberts took six catches for the defeated seconds.

ENGLAND player Danielle Wyatt hit an unbeaten century as Staffordshire women beat Hampshire by six wickets.
A four-wicket haul from Elsa-Marie Evans and a further three from Charlotte Whyle helped dismiss Hants for 194.
Wyatt then carried her bat to score 112 and guide Staffs home. Charlotte Whyle also contributed 31.
Playing for MCC young cricketers, Wyatt scored 32 and took three wickets in a T20 victory over Middlesex.
Tom Perkin took 3-22 and Robert Hemmings 2-27 as Staffordshire's under-14s returned home with a five-wicket victory over Oxfordshire.
Tom Steele (55) and Richard Williams (25no) then ensured Staffs comfortably overhauled their hosts' total of 140.
THERE were mixed results for the county's under-11s team in games against Northamptonshire and Herefordshire. James Rudge made 20 as Northants dismissed Staffs for 88.
Anis Raza then took 2-13, but Northants reached their victory target for the loss of just three wickets.
Staffs then dismissed Herefordshire for 95 thanks to 3-11 from Daniel Gibbs and 2-15 from Hamiaz Mahmood. Staffs won by eight wickets.
