BAGNALL require 12 points from their final two matches to seal their promotion to Division Two.

Their penultimate fixture takes them to fifth-placed Woore, whose indifferent form in the second half of the season has cost them a tilt at the promotion places.

There have been no such concerns for second-placed Bagnall, however, and they seem set to join leaders Bignall End in Division Two next season after chalking up 15 wins from their 20 matches.

Front-runners Bignall End have already clinched promotion, but will now set their sights on being crowned champions as they entertain Wootton.

They sealed their place at the next level thanks to last week's draw with Bagnall in which David Moreton picked up six wickets.

Wootton's first year back in Division Three has been a case of mission accomplished after staving off the threat of an immediate return to the Stone League.

Their status was guaranteed thanks to a crushing win over bottom side Porthill Park A last weekend as captain Sid Barker led the way with a half-century.

Porthill Park are 28 points from safety heading into last fortnight of the league season.

Just two victories all summer has left them well adrift at the bottom and their fate could be sealed at home to third-bottom Meir Heath Fenton tomorrow.

Stone SP have recovered from last year's dismal season in Division Two to build again for the future.

Neil Podmore's side are third ahead of their trip to face mid-table Hem Heath Forsbrook.

Second from bottom Hanford are not quite over the line in their quest to avoid the drop, but a win at Eccleshall should banish any thoughts of slipping out of the division.

Eccleshall are fourth and will have ambitions of making third place in the final weeks.

Australian Richie Galichan remains their key player and his five-wicket haul helped see off Endon last time out.

Mid-table Endon have little to play for but will want to finish the season on a high when they visit Oakamoor.
