Cricket: Anjum signs for Porthill Park
PORTHILL Park have signed Pakistan paceman Rao Iftikhar Anjum for the 2013 season.
The 32-year-old Islamabad bowler has played one Test and 62 one-day internationals for his country, and taken 481 first-class wickets.
Anjum, a right-arm seamer, previously played for Porthill Park as a substitute professional in 2005. He also spent a season on the first-class circuit with Surrey three years ago.
Porthill chairman Simon Ellams said: "We are delighted to have Rao as our professional for this season. His all-round experience will be of great assistance to the team."

Anjum replaces countryman Fahad Masood, who helped Porthill Park finish in fifth place in the North Staffs and South Cheshire League Premier Division last season.
ENGLAND started life under Ashley Giles with a first one-day win in India since 2006, edging a thrilling game in Rajkot by nine runs yesterday.
New limited-overs coach Giles saw his side end a run of 13 matches without a win in India by posting a formidable 325-4 and then showing the nerve to withstand a bold run chase that eventually subsided to 316-9.
