Crewe Alexandra: Nathan Ellington signs in time to face Colchester United
STRIKER Nathan Ellington has signed for Crewe Alexandra until the end of the season.
The 31-year-old put pen to paper on a deal before a 12pm deadline, meaning he is available for the Alex's League One match at Colchester United tomorrow afternoon (3pm).
The former Wigan Athletic front man has impressed on trial over the past month, scoring four goals in four games as an overage player for the club's under-21 side.

Ellington will boost the average age of Crewe's first team squad, which has stood at just 21 this season.
He has made 497 senior appearances since starting out at Bristol Rovers in 1999, scoring 147 goals.
He spent time a frustrating time on loan at Scunthorpe United earlier this season and left Ipswich Town by mutual consent in January.
