Crewe Alexandra: Boss Steve Davis keen to extend his own short-term contract
STEVE Davis has turned his attention to securing his own future at Crewe Alexandra after revealing he is only on a three-month rolling contract.
Davis has won promotion at Wembley, set a club record unbeaten run and generated at least £8m in transfer income in his 11 months as manager at Gresty Road.

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis is currently on a three-month rolling contract.
He has also secured extended and improved deals for players who helped get Crewe to League One, with skipper Luke Murphy signing new two-year terms last week.
And now the 47-year-old, who oversaw a 2-0 home defeat to Oldham last night, is keen to tie himself to the club for at least the next 18 months.

Davis said: "We have been talking over the past couple of months and it's something I want to get sorted out.
"It's important for the players to know I'm committing myself to he club.
"I want to stay and the chairman (John Bowler) wants to tie me down to something longer. Of course, I want the stability, but I've also got unfinished business here. I want to push the club on as far as I can."
Last night's defeat saw Crewe fall three places to 18th in League One.
Davis has now been in charge for 45 games, winning 19, drawing 16 and losing 10.
