HARRY Worley is convinced Crewe can kick-start their season by upsetting the form book at League Two leaders Rochdale today (3pm).

Crewe have failed to win the three games which the Leicester City loanee has played since returning from injury, but the young defender believes an improved showing at Spotland could work wonders.

"We'll be underdogs as they're top of the league for a reason," he said, "but it would be nice to go there and win.

"It would be good for our confidence, but they're a free-scoring team so we'll need to be at our best defensively."

Crewe blew the chance of moving to within two points of the play-off berths after failing to take full advantage of three successive home fixtures.

They saw off bottom-of-the-table Darlington 3-0, but then were edged out 2-1 by Bournemouth and were glad of the stoppage-time goal Worley set up for Shaun Miller to salvage a 1-1 against lowly Torquay on Tuesday.

Scorer Miller is in line for a rare start at Dale, against whom Crewe produced one of their best recent performances in drawing 2-2 on Boxing Day.

"I'm keen to see what Shaun can do," said Alex boss Dario Gradi.
