Crewe Alex: Pogba on road to recovery
CREWE'S joint-top scorer Mathias Pogba hopes to start full training again today.
The 22-year-old forward is expected to be two weeks away from a return to the first-team fold following his injury after netting the Alex's only goal in a 5-1 loss at Brentford on August 25.
But a knee cartilage problem was not as bad as first feared and extensive work in the gym has helped him keep his fitness at a reasonable level.
"Mathias is not too far away now," said assistant manager Neil Baker, whose side welcome Leyton Orient to Gresty Road tomorrow (3pm).

"It's good to have him back and he should be in training today, even if he is still probably a bit of time from playing."
Pogba scored 12 goals as Andy Morrell's Wrexham reached the Blue Square Premier play-offs last season, despite mainly being deployed out wide.
He has netted four goals and picked up two assists in his first four games for the Alex after joining for a nominal fee and still leads the club's scoring charts alongside Ajay Leitch-Smith.
Crewe have scored nine in four matches in total with him in their team so far this term.
But the have struggled in his absence, netting only three in the five while he has been on the sidelines.
Baker said: "I don't think he's surprised me how well he has handled the step up from the Blue Square Premier to League One in his early days.
"We had a good look at him in pre-season and he did very well both in central position and on the flank.
"We hope he can continue to progress over the next few months."
Pogba's 26-mile move from North Wales to South Cheshire made it a busy summer of moves for his family of footballers.
Younger brother Paul Pogba, aged 19, joined Juventus from Manchester United while Mathias's twin brother, left-back Florentin Pogba, joined St Etienne from Sedan for £360,000.
Florentin Pogba, who has re-signed for Sedan on loan, told the French press: "It is our dream since childhood to all play against each other in the Champions League but, for the moment, I do not think too much about that."
