CREWE midfielder Michael O'Connor looks set to seal a move to Championship side Scunthorpe later today.

The Alex have agreed an undisclosed six-figure fee with the Irons for the 21-year-old Northern Ireland international.

O'Connor, who has 12 months to run on his current deal, will hold talks with Scunthorpe later today to discuss personal terms while he will also undergo a medical.

Since graduating through Crew's trainee ranks he has made 89 senior appearances for the club.

However, he fell out of favour in the second half of last season following the managerial appointment of Gudjon Thordarson at the turn of the year.
