THE CROWD

MATCH RATING

Entertainment 7

PHILLIPS: The keeper made a decisive save to deny Tom Eaves a late winner 7

MELLOR: The full-back offered some decent deliveries, not least when he set up Robertson for a far-post header in the first half 7

ROBERTSON: Defended fairly tightly and kept Shrewsbury danger man Jon Taylor fairly quiet. He also was a threat at the other end 7

DAVIS: The centre-half may have been fortunate to escape when he caught Morgan on the edge of the box and he didn't cope well with big Eaves, who effectively bullied him at times 5

ELLIS: Solid on the ball and tackled the threat of Shrewsbury's big strike attack reasonably well 7

MOORE: The winger took his goal well, but was in and out of the game in typical fashion 6

OSMAN: Worked hard and edged the midfield battle with McAllister which prompted a change from the visitors when McGinn was drafted on for the Irishman 7

MURPHY: The Alex captain was impressive going forward and surged into the box to set up attacks. His shooting though, was off the radar 7

POGBA: Looked disinterested in the first half, but came out of his shell to threaten the goal and make his physical presence known to the Shrews' defenders 7

CLAYTON: The teenager got one shot away in the second half which the keeper held, but was well below par. Shrewsbury centre-half Darren Jones had him in his pocket 5

LEITCH-SMITH: Lively early on when he set up Moore for the goal. He also forced Chris Weale into two good saves early in the second half 6
