MATCH RATING

Entertainment 7

PHILLIPS: Saved by the woodwork twice in the first half, but otherwise confident handling to ensure Crewe earned a point 7

MELLOR: Tested by the trickery of Cook early on, but stuck well to his task and mastered his opponent in the second half 7

DUGDALE: Had his work cut out marking Orient debutant Charlie MacDonald – and often came off second best 6

ELLIS: Fully extended by the home side's best player Dave Mooney and experienced a difficult afternoon 6

TOOTLE: Sound performance and coped well with the foraging overlapping runs from the hosts' wide men 7

MURPHY: Excellent second-half display and at the heart of Crewe's creativity as they looked more of an attacking threat 8

OSMAN: Improved as the game progressed and caused the home side problems with shrewd positional play to keep the Alex ticking over in the middle of the park 7

CLAYTON: Unable to pose a consistent threat and didn't have the kind of impact he would have been hoping for in the capital 6

MOORE: In the right place at the right time for his goal and offered an increasing threat after the break to keep Orient on their toes 7

INMAN: Showed some nice touches and good close skills, particularly in the second period 7

POGBA: Worked hard and became more of a problem for the home defence as the game progressed 7

SUBSTITUTES

COLCLOUGH (for Clayton, 86): Only given a few minutes, but settled in well and produced a couple of neat touches to help preserve the point 6

Not used: Davis, Leitch-Smith, Turton, Martin, Robertson, Aneke.

LEYTON ORIENT: Jones, Odubajo, Cuthbert, Baudry (McSweeney, 84), Sawyer, Cox, Smith, James, Cook, Mooney, MacDonald (Obafemi, 88). Subs not used: Symes, Allsop, Lobjoit, Lee.
