Crewe Alex: Keeper fined for on-field spat
CREWE boss Steve Davis has confirmed Steve Phillips will be fined after his second-half outburst at Southend.
The Alex keeper has since apologised to his team-mates, including skipper Dave Artell – with whom he was involved in an on-pitch row shortly after Bilel Mohsni grabbed the only goal of the game.

PAY UP: Alex keeper Steve Phillips has been hit with a fine after he fell out with defender Dave Artell.
Phillips was unhappy after he saved a Ryan Hall free-kick, but Mohsni was allowed to convert the rebound from close range.
It is the second time this season that Phillips has clashed with one of his defenders on the pitch after a previous spat with Adam Dugdale, so Davis has slapped him with a financial penalty along with a warning about his future conduct.
He said: "Steve felt we could have defended better, but the important thing is how we go about these things and we should keep them in the dressing room.
"Steve will be fined and I'll take more serious action if he does it again. It wasn't acceptable. It has happened before and he apologised at the time and said it wouldn't happen again, but it has.
"Steve doesn't like conceding goals and he does have a quick temper, but it is something he can improve."
Artell will escape punishment after showing admirable restraint while Phillips had to be held back by Matt Tootle.
Davis hopes that will be the last of the ill-feeling between the experienced duo as he faces revamping his defence for tonight's re-arranged visit of Accrington (7.45pm).
Loan defender James Tunnicliffe has been ruled out for up to 10 days after sustaining a shoulder injury in the Southend defeat.
The Wycombe centre-half is having a scan to check whether there is any lasting damage to the joint.
"It was a shame for James as he'd had a good game," added Davis, "but he is moving it (the shoulder) quite well so we're hopeful."
Harry Davis will drop back to centre-half against Stanley while Lee Bell and Danny Shelley are vying for a recall in midfield.
Meanwhile, former West Ham left-back Jordan Brown is in contention to earn a short-term contract at Gresty Road after impressing on trial.
