Crewe Alex: Gradi starts squad overhaul
DARIO Gradi says releasing Danny O'Donnell and Steve Schumacher will help freshen up Crewe's squad.
The Alex manager wants to strengthen his defence with two new signings and O'Donnell has been told he will not be offered a new deal after four years at Gresty Road.
Schumacher is also searching for a new club after being told he is surplus to requirements.
"Danny has done well for us and there is a player in there, but it's probably better for us and him that we have a fresh start," said Gradi.
