Court date over thefts
A 16-YEAR-OLD is appearing in court later this week accused of committing two burglaries.
The youth was arrested on January 30 by officers investigating incidents at the halls of residence at Keele University.
Police from North Staffordshire division have been using Thief Tracker technology at the campus after a number of break-ins.
It works by catching offenders on a concealed CCTV camera, which can be fitted inside properties or vehicles. It also exposes them to a liquid which forensically links them to a crime.
A 33-year-old man arrested as part of the same inquiry remains on bail.
The 16-year-old will appear before North Staffordshire Magistrates on Friday.
