I WOULD just like to concur with the views of M Davies of Blythe Bridge.

It was a few months ago now that he had a go at what we watch on TV, and one of those items was cooking programmes. It turns out the man was spot on.

On Wednesday, January 25, we had Masterchef on BBC1, Hairy Bikers Best of British on BBC2. Then we had the Hungry Sailors, how to smoke food in a filing cabinet, on ITV1.

Not wishing to be outdone, Channel 4 had Come Dine With Me, followed by How to Cook Like Heston, popular ways to cook chicken.

I thought it was about time I did something nice, so I went and did myself toast and beans. Who needs Heston?
