Cobridge man Josef Cupori handed life sentence for murder of mother
A MAN convicted for the murder of his mother has today been sentenced to life in prison.
Josef Cupori, aged 24, of Elm Street, Cobridge, was found guilty of murdering Anna Cuporiova, following a trial at Stafford Crown Court in August.

LIFE SENTENCE: Josef Cupori.
He had always admitted killing her but claimed he was mentally ill at the time and denied murder on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
But a jury found the Czech national guilty following a two-week trial, in which it was revealed he had battered his mother over the head with a metal fireguard before slitting her throat and dumping her body in a wheelie bin.
