Club to host lung checks
RESIDENTS are being invited to have their lungs checked at a free advice session this week.
Health experts from Baddeley Green Surgery will hold the drop-in service on Friday.

The event, which will run from 6pm until 8pm, will take place at Baddeley Green Workingmen's Club, in Leek New Road.
Issues being dealt with include rehabilitation from lung problems and advice on how to quit smoking.

A spirometry machine will also be available which can provide an analysis of how well the lungs are working.
Dr Keith Tattum, from Baddeley Green Surgery, said: "The prevalence of recognised lung disease locally is low, but with our industrial history we would expect it to be higher than the national average.
"The concern is there are people in the community who have undiagnosed, and hence untreated, lung disease."
Everyone is welcome to attend and visitors do not need to be patients of the surgery.
