CLOTHING retailers are being asked to do their bit for a good cause by donating surplus stock for a fund-raising event.

The Newcastle Friends of Macmillan are holding a Dress For Less sale next month to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support.

Group chairman Gill Walters said: "We're asking retailers who, at the end of the January sales, have stock they no longer want to donate it to us. We will take any amount and any sizes of ladies' clothing and accessories and will happily collect it."

The event takes place on March 12 and 13 at Woore Victory Hall.
