A CONGREGATION is appealing for wedding dresses to decorate their church with as part of a St Valentine's Day church service.

Dresses will be on display at Holy Trinity Church, in Meir, for the service which will take place at 3pm on Sunday, February 14.

Event coordinator Joan Grindley, aged 61, said: "It will be a renewal of wedding vows and a celebration of God's love.

"We want to create a display of wedding memories including wedding dresses and wedding photos.

"There will be dresses through the years on display, including my short, white one from the 1950s.

"There should be some interesting contrasts."
