NEWCASTLE: Residents have been invited to a festive food event this weekend.
North Staffs Animal Aid is holding its Christmas Vegan Food Fayre from 1.30pm to 5pm tomorrow at the Methodist School Rooms in Merrial Street, Newcastle.
There will be free vegan food tasting and refreshments, a video promoting veganism, Santa and his elf with presents for children, a musician, stalls and food from Nantwich-based Vegonia.

STOCKTON BROOK: Christmas decorations will be among items available at a craft fair which takes place at Stockton Brook Scout and Guide Headquarters, Moss Hill, Stockton Brook, between 10am and 4pm on Sunday.
Entry is free and there is free parking. The event will raise funds for 1st Stockton Brook Brownies.
MILTON: A Christmas fair takes place at Milton Methodist Church, in Leek Road, Milton, from 2pm tomorrow. Admission is free and there will be stalls, games and refreshments.
MEIR: A Christmas fair will be held at Broadway Methodist Church and Centre, Pickford Place, Meir, tomorrow. Doors open at 10.30am and there will be lots of stalls, games, bargains and refreshments. Entrance to the event will be free.
WESTON COYNEY: Park Hall Primary School, in Carberry Way, Weston Coyney, will hold its Christmas Fair at 3.30pm today. Special guest is Santa and admission is free.
MEIR: There will be a Christmas fayre at Holy Trinity Church, Meir, tomorrow. Doors open at 1pm and organisers say there will be lots to buy and lots of fun.
CROSS HEATH: Cross Heath Methodist Church, in Kings Street, is holding its Christmas fair tomorrow, from 11am until 3pm. Light lunches and refreshments will be served. Admission is 20p.
NANTWICH: Stapeley Water Gardens in Nantwich is bringing a little festive cheer to its visitors. Organisers are offering free mulled wine and food tasting between 5pm and 8pm on Wednesday evenings.
LONGTON: There will be a winter fair at SS Mary and Chad Church, in Anchor Road, Longton, on Saturday, December 4 from noon. Admission is 20p.
