Children robbed of Christmas joy
FIVE boys and their sister have been left without Christmas presents after thieves burgled their home.
Their mother Kelly Underwood, of Ford Green Road, Norton, was horrified when she got up yesterday morning to discover around £800 of property had been stolen.

She had bought presents, including three remote-controlled cars and two iPods, for her children and stored them in a cupboard under the stairs.
They were all taken, along with a PlayStation 3 from the living room, her purse and all her debit and credit cards.
Now children David, aged 14, Luke, aged 12, Joshua, aged 10, James, aged eight, Kirstie, aged five, and five-week-old Connor have been left facing a Christmas Day without any presents.
Kelly, aged 32, said: "The dining room of the house has been converted into a bedroom for David, Joshua and James. They were all asleep in the room.
"One of them had opened a window to get some air, and the thieves managed to get a hand inside and open a main window. Then they let themselves out of the front door.
"I can't believe they were in there when my boys were asleep in the same room. I noticed what had happened at about 8.30am.
"I was going to put a disc in the PlayStation and it wasn't there.
"It was a present for the boys from my partner Ian Carty. He has been serving in Afghanistan for four months and he bought it for them because he wouldn't be here at Christmas.
"I looked round the house and couldn't find my purse, and when I opened the cupboard under the stairs and saw the presents were gone I nearly died."
Kelly was left with the task of explaining to her children what had happened to their gifts.
She said: "How do you explain to a five-year-old that Santa isn't coming to our house this year?
"These people need to realise what they've done.
"I'm so angry. I'm devastated for the kids more than anything.
"I reported it to the police and I've rung places like Cash Converters in case anyone comes in trying to sell the stuff."
Kelly's son Luke said he hoped the thieves were caught. He said: "I feel sick. It's all our presents. My brothers and sister are upset. I hope the people get caught."
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "We received a report of a burglary at a house on Ford Green Road. Officers have been to the house and carried out house-to-house inquiries in the area. We are also looking for CCTV footage, and investigations are continuing."
