Child porn convict sent back to jail for owning a laptop
PAEDOPHILE Jeffrey Beeden has been jailed after breaching the terms of a sexual offences prevention order.
The 50-year-old, of Hatfield Crescent, Blurton, was found in possession of a laptop and broadband equipment in June.
Beeden had been barred from possessing such equipment following a conviction in 2009 for possessing and making indecent images of children.
Recorder Simon Drew sentenced Beeden to nine months in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court yesterday.

Prosecutor David Bennett told the court that police officers had paid Beeden a routine visit on June 14 this year.
Following a search of his home they found the laptop and broadband internet box hidden inside a wardrobe.
Beeden immediately admitted he had breached the order, but later claimed that he had bought the equipment in order to look for work on the internet.
Beeden was jailed for 20 months in October 2009 after being found with 7,325 images of child porn.
Robert Smith, mitigating, told the court that the terms of Beeden's order had since been changed, so that he would no longer be in breach for owning a laptop.
Mr Smith said: "The defendant clearly is a paedophile. He has struggled with the abuse he suffered as a child, which has left him with a sexual interest in children.
"But he has de-escalated his offending after attending a number of sexual offending courses while in prison."
Recorder Drew told Beeden he must have known he was in breach of his order, and said he had no choice but to send him to prison.
