Child carer 'outstanding' says Ofsted
CHILDMINDER Corinne Minshall is celebrating this week after becoming Stoke-on-Trent's first 'outstanding' carer of children.
The mother-of-two, from Abbey Hulton, will be presented with a bouquet of flowers at her home to honour her achievement on Friday.
Corinne, a registered childminder, was judged 'outstanding' in a recent Ofsted report.
She looks after children up to seven years old and has close links with Kingsland Children's Centre.
She is supported in her work by the city council's development team.
City council development officer, Jayne Richards, said: "Corinne is a real asset and this achievement is richly deserved.
"We're all very proud of her and are pleased her excellent work has been recognised in this way."
Elected mayor and children and young people's portfolio holder, Mark Meredith, said: "Childminding can be very testing and there's a huge amount of responsibility involved.
"Corinne is a terrific example of one of the many first class people we have working in this crucial area of childcare."
