THIS weekend sees the return of the V Festival at Weston Park near Stafford, where headliners are Oasis tomorrow and The Killers on Sunday. Also on the bill are Razorlight, Lilly Allen and 18-year-old Pixie Lott.

The idea of V came in 1996 when Pulp's front man Jarvis Cocker announced he'd love to play two outdoor gigs in two days.

Pulp's promoters got together and soon made it happen, and this year the line-up is brilliant so we are in for a great weekend.

U2 have landed in the UK with their 360 degree tour that is visiting 14 cities across Europe and is getting fantastic reviews. What a great idea – the stage is actually situated in the middle of the arena and the audience surround the stage.

Robbie Williams is to appear on the new series of the X Factor as part of his comeback bid.

Robbie confirmed this week on his website that he would take part in the highly rated TV show.

American diva Beyonce and Australian chart topper Kylie Minogue have both performed on the programme, along with Britney Spears.

La Roux singer Elly Jackson has insisted that she is not bothered which track is released next from their current album because she says every track on it is a hit.

After listening to it, I have to agree. It's a first class album.
