Challenge for young cadets
ARMY cadets have taken part in a series of challenges to test their skills.
A total of 25 senior cadets, aged 16 to 18 years old, joined in the Staffordshire Army Cadet Force's Challenge Weekend in Wales.
The event saw the cadets take part in white water rafting, a high ropes agility course and canyoning – travelling through canyons using a variety of techniques such as scrambling, climbing and jumping.
Stafford Railway Building Society (SRBS) donated £500 towards the trip.
Colonel Chris Harris, of the Staffordshire and West Midlands Army Cadet Force, said: "Sponsorship is vital for this event as the cost per cadet can be prohibitive for the young people and their parents and so we're extremely grateful to SRBS.
"Each pledge is a positive contribution to the young people of Staffordshire and will help them develop a wide range of skills."
