PROFESSIONAL flower arrangers are hosting festive demonstrations at Bridgemere Nursery and Garden World.

They are inviting budding florists to the centre, near Nantwich, every Thursday evening until December 10 to raise money for charity.

Rosalind Harrington, promotions manager, said: "These events are an excellent way to explore the art of flower arranging during the Yuletide period."

There will be a demonstration by Jonathan Moseley this Thursday. He will be followed by Dawn Weaver on November 26, Margaret Ecclestone on December 3 and a team from Reaseheath College on December 10.

Proceeds will go to Douglas Macmillan Hospice in Blurton, Hope House Children's Hospice in Oswestry and Daisy Chain for Cancer Research UK.

The events begin at 6.30pm with wine and canapes. The demonstrations last from 7.30pm to about 9pm.

Tickets will cost £9.75 only in advance from the centre's reception or on 01270 521100.
