Centre Stage with Alan Cookman
BRIAN Hadley has been inspiring gifted young actors for nearly four decades. As head of drama and performing arts at Edensor Technology College, formerly Edensor High School, he's been responsible for many outstanding productions. This year's, Brian's 38th, will be slightly different.
Peter Pan the Musical, designed and directed by Brian, will involve children from three of the college's feeder schools – Belgrave CE Primary, Alexandra Junior and Glebe Primary.
Altogether there will be no fewer than 100 boys and girls on stage for this tuneful retelling of the evergreen tale of the boy who never grew old.
Produced by Belgrave's deputy head, John Collier, the show has Michelle Moss as choreographer and Jane Harrop as musical director.
Rehearsal began in January, and have included workshops at the Stoke-on-Trent Rep, where Brian has directed so many memorable plays.
