Founded in 2000 by North Staffordshire mobile phone entrepreneur turned philanthropist John Caudwell, the charity has now raised more than £9 million and helped change the lives of thousands of children.
Ms Hurley said: "There are sick and disabled children living in the UK who may not be receiving the support they need.
"Caudwell Children is trying to make a difference and I'm happy to help."
The celebrity will now help to fund-raise for the charity throughout the year.
Trudi Beswick, chief executive of Caudwell Children, said: "All the team are thrilled that Elizabeth has agreed to support the charity.
"She is a global film and fashion icon as well as being respected as a loving mother. "I'm confident she will be influential in the continued growth of the charity."
The charity donates equipment and treatments for sick children and once a year provides a trip to Florida for up to 40 children.
