Cash returns £35 he gave for veterans
STONE MP Bill Cash has handed back £35 that he claimed on his Parliamentary expenses to cover a payment to the Royal British Legion.
Mr Cash said the claim had been made by mistake after the invoice for the payment to The Poppy Appeal got mixed up with some other receipts.

He added that he had repaid the amount from his own funds as soon as he found out about the mistake.
He said: "This was an isolated mistake, as you will see from the claims for all other years, and was entirely an administrative error."
Mr Cash and his repayment was included on a list of 41 MPs who had repaid money after a Scrutiny Panel set up by David Cameron poured over the claims of every single Tory MP.
The Sentinel has already reported how Mr Cash paid his daughter £15,000 in rent for staying at her London flat, despite himself owning an apartment closer to Westminster.
He also agreed to repay that money and has been exonerated by the Scrutiny Panel of any wrongdoing.

“So we taxpayers pay you £400 a month for your food. Just a small point here Bill but don't most of us pay for our own food.”

“Mr. Cash claimed £400 food allowance for every month Feb 07 to Jan 08 (only had time for limited research). Shouldn't he only claim when Parliament is sitting?”

“Bill Cash has always been a joke even when we were living back in Sunny Stoke ... Only ever saw him when it was election time, well Bill moved down under because you are all the same. thieving, coniving, under handed, cheating, self centred and selfish ELECTED MP's .. You and Charlotte Atkins should be ASHAMED ... Ever likely people leave the country .. Perhaps I could claim 15 K for staying at parents when I visit ... somehow I think not ....”
