Cancer patient in line for £10k
VOTING lines closed last night in a competition which could see a health campaigner win £10,000.
Breast cancer sufferer Fiona Ford has made it through to the final of Avon's Hello Tomorrow Fund.
Fiona, aged 48, of Woore, is hoping to use the money to expand a wig and beauty salon at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
She said: "We have already raised £40,000 and this money would be a huge boost. The centre is already an essential part of treatment for cancer patients but also those with alopecia and hair loss. We are very pleased to have made it so far in the competition."
