Calendars rake in charity cash
ORGANISERS behind a series of alternative calendars have raised around £3,700 for charity.
The team behind the Stoke Tattooed Punk Calendars eventually hope to raise £10,000 for the Blurton-based Douglas Macmillan Hospice.
The £7.50, 2013 calendars feature cancer survivors or sufferers from the region's punk fraternity.
Three editions have been produced featuring couples, along with one men-only and one women-only calendar.

Photographer Sean Carnall, aged 39, of Birches Head, said: "We have sold out of the calendars featuring the couples but still have the other two types of calendars available."
The calendars are currently available at city centre shops Rowfers and Hedonism, at Burslem's 6 Towns Radio and at the Calendar Club at Freeport Talke.

“£3,700! WOW!
One of the best things I've ever done..and for a great cause. I'm so proud of my man, Mr October for stripping (tastefully) following testicular cancer and without the wonderful & most dedicated care of our local Douglas Mcmillan hospice, my mum would have been nursed by a very understaffed and overworked NHS.
Cancer affects everybody in some way so come on, help us to reach the £10,000 target so that you too can be as proud as I am! :) Buy your calendar from Rowfers in Hanley, Freeport and various other sellers on Facebook.”
