CHELL HEATH
Jason Oakes, aged 36, of Bentley Road, Chell Heath, has pleaded guilty to fraud. He will be sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court after a report is prepared on him by a probation officer. Oakes was bailed.

GOLDENHILL
Andrew Moreton, aged 26, of Aubrey Street, Goldenhill, has pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Alan Cope at Goldenhill on February 14. Magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre adjourned the case so a report can be prepared. The defendant will next appear at court on March 28 and was unconditionally bailed.

MEIR
John Jenkinson, aged 56, of Stanton Road, Meir, was fined £80 with £35 costs and a £20 victim surcharge after pleading guilty to driving without due care and attention at Blythe Bridge level crossing on October 27.
MILEHOUSE
Troy Yeomans, aged 20, of Brant Avenue, Milehouse, will stand trial at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on April 15 after pleading not guilty to a litter offence at Hassell Street, Newcastle, on June 19.
NEWCASTLE
Paul Timmis, aged 30, of Romney Avenue, Newcastle, has been given a 12-month conditional discharge after pleading guilty to possessing a small quantity of cannabis on February 8. Magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre ordered the defendant to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
NEWCASTLE
Andrew Scott, aged 28, of Poplar Court, Newcastle, is charged with common assault on Stephen Gregory on February 4. He will appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on March 6.
SANDFORD HILL
Drink-driver Diane Payne has been banned from driving for three years. The 59-year-old of Pevensey Grove, Sandford Hill, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol at Longton on February 13. The defendant gave a reading of 58 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath against a legal limit of 35 micrograms. The court was told that Payne had a relevant previous conviction. Magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre also fined Payne £350 with £85 costs and a £35 victim surcharge.
SMALLTHORNE
Pensioner John Wetton, of Southern Way, Smallthorne, has pleaded guilty to possessing a lock knife, nine offences of criminal damage and asked for four similar matters taken into consideration. Magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre adjourned sentence for reports. The 66-year-old defendant will next appear in court again on March 21 and was granted unconditional bail.
STOKE
Mitchell Clowes, aged 46, of Vale Street, Stoke, has been fined £35 with £60 costs for failing to comply with the requirements of a community order imposed in July last year. Magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre allowed the order to continue.
STOKE
Jan Kral, of Leason Street, Stoke, has been banned from the roads for 16 months after admitting driving with excess alcohol on February 16.The 27-year-old gave a reading of 63 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath at Shelton Old Road, Stoke, against a legal limit of 35 micrograms. Magistrates at North Staffordshire Justice Centre also fined him £250 with £85 costs and a £25 victim surcharge.
