ASBESTOS has long been a dirty word – and Environmental Essentials is doing big business by helping with the clean-up.

Formed four years ago, the Silverdale firm has already built a respected team, gained an enviable reputation and moved into a purpose-built centre with the laboratory and testing services which enable it to deliver a wide range of consultancy services.

Over the same period, it has boosted its turnover by almost 50 per cent – to around £1.5 million – and exceeded its sales targets every year.

It is also a finalist in The Sentinel's Business Initiative-sponsored Small Business of the Year Award and, employing 45 people, has created more than 20 jobs in the past year.
