HOLIDAY events in a town centre include a bonnet competition judged by the Easter bunny.

Crewe's Market Centre will play host to an Easter bonnet-making workshop between 10am and 4pm tomorrow.

Each child who takes part in the workshop can register their creation in a competition at the centre's information desk between 10.30am and 11.30am on Saturday.

A parade will then be held at midday.

The Easter Bunny will be at the centre throughout Saturday and will judge the bonnet competition at noon.

Prizes, donated by Wilkinson's, will be awarded for the best designs.

A face painter will also be on hand to create Easter-themed designs.

Centre manager Glenn Davies said: "We've got lots of creative activities planned for the Easter break, all of which are free of charge.

"We want to offer the kids some fun and exciting activities to keep them busy over the Easter period."

The centre will also have an animated Easter display featuring bunnies and eggs.

An egg-decorating workshop was held yesterday.

All workshops will run in the Wilkinson's Mall area of the centre and will be fully supervised.
