Brother to face trial
A TRIAL has been fixed by North Staffordshire magistrates for Arthur Baker, who is alleged to have assaulted his sister, at Cheadle on July 18.
The defendant, aged 37, of Park Street, Wakefield, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Zara Anderson, and destroying a laptop computer belonging to her.
His trial will take place at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on September 27. He was bailed with conditions of non-contact with Zara Anderson, and not to enter Staffordshire unless by prior appointment or for a court hearing.
