Broken down lorry causes A500 tailbacks
A BROKEN down lorry has caused long tailbacks on the A500 this afternoon.
The vehicle came to a stop near to the Stoke exit on the southbound carriageway at around 3pm this afternoon.

Long queues have resulted back to Etruria, although traffic has now started to move again.
It follows a vehicle fire on the same carriageway at around 7.30am this morning.

Firefighters were called to the southbound junction of the D-Road between Wolstanton Retail Park and Basford Roundabout after a car caught fire following an electrical fault.
