STOKE: A party is being held for families supported by Caudwell Children to mark the charity's 10th anniversary.
Tomorrow's event at the Britannia Stadium will also celebrate the relaunch of the charity's family support service.
Stoke-based Caudwell Children, set up by businessman John Caudwell in March 2000, will celebrate with a Mad Hatter's tea party.
So far, the charity has helped more than 4,500 children nationwide and paid for equipment, treatment and once-in-a-lifetime holidays worth more than £11 million.
KIDSGROVE: Magistrates in North Staffordshire have declined jurisdiction in the case of two men charged with affray.
Kevin Saunders, aged 23, of Gloucester Road, Kidsgrove, and 20-year-old Christopher Sutton, of Whitehall Avenue, Kidsgrove, are both accused of affray in Talke on October 30.
The case was adjourned for a further hearing on May 13, when it is likely to be sent to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.
The pair were bailed.
TUNSTALL: A trial has been fixed at North Staffordshire Magistrates Court for 25-year-old Philip Morgan.
Morgan, of Carlton Avenue, Tunstall, is accused of assaulting a police constable in Mill Hill on March 7.
The case was adjourned for a further hearing on May 11.
Morgan was bailed.
