COBRIDGE: A 46-year-old woman has appeared before North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply following dawn raids in Stoke-on-Trent as part of the ongoing Operation Nemesis.

It is alleged that on December 17 Nina Hughes, of Walley Place, Cobridge, was in possession of crack cocaine with an alleged value of £2,800 with intent to supply.

The defendant was given conditional bail until February 12 when committal to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court is expected to take place.

ETRURIA: A teenager has pleaded not guilty to a motoring offence.

Robert Masterson, aged 18, of Oldway Place, Sandford Hill, pleaded not guilty to driving without due care and attention at Festival Way, Festival Park, Etruria, on August 9.

He also pleaded not guilty to failing to stop after an accident in which personal injury was caused to Jade Smith.

The matter was adjourned by North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court and there will be a further court hearing on January 15.

CHELL HEATH: A husband and wife have appeared before North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court accused of possession of cannabis resin with intent to supply on November 21 at Chell Heath.

Karen Davis, aged 30, and Peter Davis, aged 33, of High Lane, Chell Heath, were unconditionally bailed by the court pending their committal to Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on February 19.

STOKE: A man charged with excess alcohol, obstructing a police officer, having no insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence had his cases adjourned until January 15 by North Staffordshire Magistrates' Court.

He is Saddakat Hussain, aged 23, of Cauldon Road, Stoke.

The alleged offences took place in Hanley on September 22.

AUDLEY: A Christmas fair will be held at Audley Church Hall today from noon to 4pm.

The event, which has been organised by the Children of Audley Residents' Association, will feature a tombola, raffle, bric-a-brac and refreshments.

There will also be a visit from Santa to entertain the children.
