Port Vale and Crewe Alexandra suffer defeats
PORT Vale missed the chance to go top of League Two after losing 2-0 at home to Exeter City tonight.
With leaders Gillingham suffering a 1-0 home defeat by Oxford United, the second-placed Valiants could have moved a point clear at the summit.
But first-half goals from Jamie Cureton and Danny Coles sealed the points for Exeter, who played the closing stages with 10 men after Mark Moseley's red card.
Meanwhile, Crewe endured a night to forget in League One with a 3-0 defeat at Hartlepool United.
