TWO people died in two separate road crashes last night.

A 25-year-old man from Crewe died following an accident involving a red BMW, a white HGV and a blue Volkswagen Lupo on the A534 Haslington bypass, between Sandbach and Crewe, at around 6.20pm.

Three hours later, at around 9.32pm, a silver Mini Cooper left the A34 Newcastle Road near Little Moreton Hall.

One of the occupants of the car, a 20-year-old woman from Cannock, died as a result of her injuries at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

The other occupants, a 21-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent, and two 19-year-old men from Cannock, are said to be in a comfortable condition in hospital.

Anyone who witnessed either of the incidents should call Sergeant Ian Holley, of Cheshire Eastern Area Specialist Investigation Unit, on 01244 613328.
