If he fails then Labour will reap the benefits and even if he does not make a complete mess of the job he is certain to loose his council seat the next time he stands in the Trentham area.
As an aside if the BNP councilors only response is to walk out if they don't get their own way they can have only themselves to blame if they are excluded from all council decision making.
For Mr Irving to have any credibility he must ensure that councilor Ward is given a position in his cabinet and that he does not fill it with his old EMB cronies.”
