“I have known Rashmi since college. It is a terrible tragedy for such a nice girl to face death at this young age. Everyone from the Dept of Medical Electronics (2001 Batch) of Dayanada Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore deeply mourn this misfortunate event. “The road is lethal, it should be a one ways system around that area, especially around the hospitals.”

“Awful. Just awful. My condolences to the family of the victim.
That's an awful bend of road for Pedestrians to navigate because there are so many junctions to watch on a fast busy road, besides two entrances/exits from the always-busy Tesco Express store. I wonder if they should be ordered to have one entrance and one exit, for the safety of both drivers and pedestrians.
Before Tesco Express opened, I'm aware of a neighbour who petitioned for another pedestrian crossing to be installed by the garage, next to the steps leading down to Hartshill Park, but nothing ever came of it.
To the editor: The Jolly Potter is in Hartshill, not Penkhull.”
