A 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital with a shoulder injury after colliding with a car.

The incident happened on Lorne Street, in Burslem, just after 2.55pm today.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle to the scene.

Paramedics then assessed and treated the boy before taking him to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
