Boxing: Southpaw Keates wins on points to boost record
LEEK super-featherweight Andy Keates extended his winning record at Staffordshire University.
Keates posted a points win over Dan Naylor in a battle of the southpaws to make it six wins out of six – and the 21-year-old has a big fight pencilled in next.
Promoters Fight Factory plan to match him against Irish champion Mickey Coveney before the end of the year.
He was too good for Naylor in their fight over the six two-minute round distance and took the verdict 60-55.

But there was a controversial loss for Milton tattooist Kevin Hanks.
Most ringsiders thought Hanks had won enough of the early rounds to secure at least a draw, but the referee rewarded Laight's fightback in the second half of the six-round welterweight match with a 58-57 points decision.
Stafford bricklayer Rob Hunt stayed in the mix for a crack at welterweight honours by winning every session of his four-round fight against Polish school teacher Arek Malek.
Chester super-featherweight Paul Economides edged out Youssef Al Hamidi 58-57 after a competitive six-round fight.
Normacot light-welterweight Josh McLaren missed out on boxing after picking up a throat infection.
