If you're kids are still hungry for eggs after the Easter weekend, they can join in with an Easter Egg Hunt around the Wedgwood Visitor Centre.

Families have a choice of a five kilometres walk with the dog, or if you're a keen runner the 5K running route is perfect to warmup for races such as the London Marathon or the Great North Run.

Port Vale Chairman, Paul Wildes, said:

"Boomer was very keen to attend this event and the club has been pleased to support him in that.

"I hope that the event raises essential funds for Douglas Macmillan Hospice, and in turn, those funds will support a number of seriously ill people within the Stoke on Trent area."

Liz Clarke, Head of Fundraising commented,

"The Family 5K Ruby Run and Walk is always a real family occasion, and having Boomer and other mascots at the Wedgwood Estate will make it a day to remember.

"Loads of families attend the event every year, so this year we wanted to make the biggest and best yet."

Entries are still open for the Dougie Mac Family 5K Ruby Walk & Ruby Run. Adult tickets are priced at £10, with children's tickets costing £2.50.
