Blockheads to star at town festival
ROCK legends The Blockheads will perform at a music event this Easter.
They will appear at Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday, April 2 as part of the 14th Nantwich Jazz, Blues and Music Festival.
Geno Washington will also play the civic hall on April 4, and Sandi Thom, pictured, whose single I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker reached number one in 2006, will be at the Crown Hotel on April 5.
Festival director Philip Martin, from the Crown Hotel, said: "It is a real coup to get The Blockheads, who are so topical right now with the film Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll marking the 10th anniversary of singer Ian Dury's death."
Tickets for the Blockheads concert cost £18, if bought before March 1, or £19.50 after, and £17 for Geno Washington and Sandi Thom before March 1.
Tickets are available from the Crown Hotel, on 01270 625283, and Nantwich tourist information.
