Biker dies after crash with car on Kidsgrove Bank - man arrested (UPDATE)
A YOUNG motorcyclist has died after he was in collision with a car on Kidsgrove Bank.
Ambulances, a rapid response vehicle, an incident support officer and two doctors were sent to the scene at about 7.30pm last night.
But the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "The ambulance staff found the rider of the bike in a critical condition.
"They started advanced life support, but sadly it soon became apparent that his injuries were too serious and he was confirmed dead at the scene by one of the doctors."
The man driving the car was in a state of shock and was taken to the University Hospital North Staffordshire as a precaution.
Update: A 25-year-old man from Crewe has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
