Beer lovers sink Titanic ales on charity trek
MINE'S A PINT: Titanic captain John Smith joined beer lovers on a charity trek.
Customers and staff of Burslem-based Titanic Brewery were joined on their 12 mile walk by a lookalike of the master of the liner as well as brewery mascot Mr Pinty as they raised money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institute.

Saturday's event was the brainchild of Mervyn Edwards of the Potteries Pub Preservation Group who spent the day dressed as Mr Pinty.
Mervyn, from Wolstanton, said: "The weather was perfect and we all completed the 12 miles."
The trek took in all four of the Titanic Brewery pubs, starting at the Royal Exchange, Stone, before calling in at the White Star, Stoke, the Greyhound in Hartshill and finishing at Burslem's Bulls Head. Pictured is Mervyn Edwards as Pinty and Eddie Willatt as Captain Smith with some of the walkers.
